Week 2 Reflection

First, I created a YouTube channel and posted a screen cast on a previous PowerPoint I have made. This was an easy and great experience. I have never thought of making a YouTube channel to be able to share with student more information on our lessons. In time of need, when students have to do school online this is a perfect way to communicate lessons with them. 

Next, I learned about netiquette for digital citizens. We had to create a poster for rules that we would have in our classrooms for students to be good digital citizens. Even while using technology, there is still many ways for students to misbehave online. This is a great way to go over and have as a reminder for students what they should follow in order to be a good digital citizen.

Week 4 Reflection

 During week 4, we had to create our own QR code. This was a very fun and easy process. I created my QR code for a technology game website that children can use to learn how to do different processes in technology. I had to enter the URL of the website I was using in order to create the code. They had different ways you can edit it to make it better. You could add a background color or a different shape for the code. You did have to pay for that part, so I did not do that. I can save this for when I become an educator.  Using QR codes in the classroom is an easy way for students to have access to certain websites or activities you would like them to have. They can take the code home and scan or they can scan it right in the classroom. With that, they will always have access to them and they will not forget what the websites are called.

Week 7 Reflection

 During week 7, I have learned about the website ChatGPT. This was new to me. It reminds me of using "Hey Siri", on my iPhone. It is a website that can be used to ask questions or say statements and it will give you a response to it. It will quickly type out a response and I did not notice any spelling or grammar issues. The information it provided me with for my question was an accurate answer. However, I am not sure about if it can answer any question there is.  This is a great tool to ask simple questions but I do not think that it is essential to using in writing papers. There is no creditable evidence. It would not look very good on a paper to cite ChatGPT for your sources. This can be a growing issue for educators because it can be an easy way out for students instead of them doing their own research for their paper topics. I do not think I will continue to use it after this assignment.
